A vacuum works good, or some good tape. It's only a dust cover for the voice coil. It does nothing for performance of the speaker, unless it's loose and it will vibrate and sound bad and the you can re-glue the edges.
I'm sure your daughter feels bad, but let her know that she did not damage the speaker at all, it will be just fine.
