If your unit keeps filling with the power off, it is the water fill solenoid(s). If the machine overflows it is the float switch. Check out partselect.com and put in your model number. It will show a picture of the part and the price.

my wash machine is banging against the sides on the inside. The tub is uneven and needs to be pushed backwards and held down toward the bottom. Where is it connected at the bottom? Is there suppose to be a screw or a bar that holds it from shaking so much

3 year old GE washer suddenly not spinning but washes fine. I hear the pump and the sound of water going down the drain but slowly. The spin normaly seems to assist the pump in removing the water, so it appears to be a spin problem. Any ideas? Bad contacts due to corrosion maybe?
