Question about Viper RCVGC022 Remote Control
I have a band new Viper Remote Starter, the newest one that came out in the market, and I've been having it for over 6 months and at the beginning it was working wonderfully. But now the remote is giving me some problems. The Remote Starter will start, but not like it did when I first bought it. On the area where it says " VIPER" there's an orange light that comes out, and next to the " f " button a red light comes out at the same time and they both make a beeping sound after the car is turned on, and the sound does not stop beeping even when the key is in the ignition. Sometimes I have to take the battery out and put it back in thinking that that's the problem with the remote, but i guess there's something more to it than taking the battery out... This is a frustrating problem that I can't seem to figure out the solution for it. Please help me with this problem, I don't know what else to do with this remote, sometime i want to smash it on the ground but I know that won't work or help. LOL!, Thanks for taking this matter into consideration. Zaida, From Texas

Doctor C, I to have suffered the trial and tribulations of the viper car alarm experience and am happy to pass on my knowledge. I found this answer online after googling "viper valet mode" "The LED is solid now, correct? This means the unit is in Valet mode. To get out of it, turn the key to the "on" position then back off, and just press your black program button hidden under the dash. The installer should have shown you where they installed the black program button." Good luck Scott Good Luck

Simple question, have you changed the battery in your remote lately? I was having similiar issues with my remote start and it was a simple matter of changing the batteries in the remote.
I figured lets eliminate the easy stuff first. :)

Whoever hooked up your system did not hook up the factory alarm disarm and arm wires. Your car thinks it is being stolen as a result of this. You need to get a wire diagram of your car and hook up the proper wires.
