Question about Panasonic PVQ-M2509 Combo

Panasonic Logo Constantly Across Screen

This Panasonic-FM Radio Omnivision VHS television was given to us by relatives. It was manufacture May 1999. The model number is PV-M2059, and the serial number is E9AA23090. First of all the remote won't allow us to change from Spanish to English. Secondly, the television has a beautiful picture but we can't watch television, tapes or anything because across the screen pops up a big blue box with the Panasonic logo in it. Then it goes into another big blue box stating it's VHS/FM radio combo. This box will not go away and hinders our television viewing. Once the big blue boxes have ran their course then the screen changes to the little pictures of t.v., vcr, language etc. How do we get rid of these logos so we can enjoy the television? Help us, because we are only steps away from throwing this t.v. out!

Re: Panasonic Logo Constantly Across Screen

With the Power On, hold down the Play/Repeat On button for 5 seconds. This will toggle the 'feature' on and off.

Panasonic omnivision horizontal

If you have a white line on screen---middle that runs left to right it is a vertical circuit problem.

This can be a easy repair: The set uses a chip---usually 7-13 pins in a straight line package-----a lot of these sets the solder from heat breaks loose and all that is needed is to resolder the pins on that chip.

A hint: usually a good solid rap on the top or side will in this case try to make the picture open up.

You need to be able to get to the part and solder.

use the make a comment button if you have questions or need more help.

I need a remote control for an old (probably about a 2000-2001) panasonic omnivision tv that has a build in radio and vcr. I don't have any paper work so don't have a model #. Too old to bother with? Tv...

Look behind the tv near the power cord and you should be able to find the model number. you can then order an original replacement or just go here if you want to see some great universals.

Need remote code to control a Panasonic Omnivision VHS PV-M2079 TV/VCR combination

You need to program the VCR (which turns the sey on/off) as an aux, then program any Panasonic TV type for TV, and then set the STB button to control STB, TV and AUX and you should be set.
