Same problems. Fan is whirling. Light flashes. No Video Signal.

Second Dish VIP622 in three months. We have had dish for 3 years with hardly ever a problem. We "upgraded" to high def receiver, 622. We have had nothing but problems. The first receiver would periodically go out and we would have no video signal. After about 30 min it would work again. Finally it quit working. Fan kept whirling, lights would flash and no video signal. Dish sent us a new receiver. It has worked for one month now the same thing. One tech told us not to plug it into a surge protector. Dish sent a another tech to the house and he told us that these receivers are no good and we should ask for a 722. They do not have the same problems.
