Usually they pull right off. Unless you see a hole in the side with a hex key screw, it will pull off. Just pull gently and steadily and it should merely pop off.

Try radio shack in States, Maplin in the UKand other similar retailers elsewhere. Also, if you can identify it try ebay, they carry a lot of these parts

it looks like its got a hookup for an external antenna on the back, hook a wire to it or better yet hook it up to a pair of rabbit ears, look at the back and make sure your hooking it up to the right connector am/fm

The power control problem is easy to fix.

It can as simple as a fuse (I'm sure you check it already) or a switch that is piggy back on the volume control.

Radio Shack has a similar one HERE

Disconnect the AC outlet and open the main Tivoli unit.

Look at the back side of the volume switch and you will see a power switch piggy back onto the volume control.

You can bypass it or get the correct value Potentiometer + SPST switch.

Use an ohm meter to meter the both end of the potentiometer and if it's 10,000 ohm or 10k then just go to Radio Shack and ask for
10K-Ohm Audio Control Potentiometer with SPST Switch Model: 271-215 | Catalog #: 271-215

It's a direct replacement.

If the ohm read is other then 10K then you will need to order it for an electronic supply house.


Tivoli makes great radio.....if you want to sell it I want the first dip.

Ah yes, very annoying problem. I am still searching for the solution and trying not to have nervous break down in the meantime.

The fuse would cause a total absence of power. Your problem is likely a blown filter capacitor in the power supply. Unless you have electrical/electronic skills, the radio will require professional repair.

I have exactly the same problem but found two work arounds, either one that I am completely satisfied. 1. unplug and replug the AC.
2. I have a subwoofer, when I plug the subwoofer cable half way in, the sounds of the base speak goes back to normal (but not all the way in)

Does your radio have a sleep button or option? If so, check to make sure that you did not set it on accident or with out knowing. Or if it has batteries, check them to make sure they aren't dead or mixed with old or new.
