I fastened my wife's washer to the wall with heavy wire inserted into 4 pieces of rubber attached to the wall and the wash machine. Rubber stoppers about one inch in diameter are held in place on the back of the washer about four inches below the top with copper pipe fasteners used to attach pipe to wood. These are on the back near each side and the ones on the wall are in matching locations. I used a 4" wide board on the wall so the screws could go into the studs and the stoppers could go where they were needed without concern about studs. The two pieces of heavy wire (not easily bent by hand) is bent into a U shape with a flat bottom and short legs. The width of the U depends on how far your machine is from the wall.The wire legs 2 - 4" long are then inserted down into the rubber with the bottom of the U upwards. Wherever you drill to attach the stoppers on the machine be sure to avoid any wires or mechanical components and I attached them near the top for ease of removal for maintenance-- which should be seldom. This solution has held my machine in place quietly for the last seven + years.

My whirlpool top load washer vibrates bad and will walk across the floor during the spin cycle even with no clothes in it. I replaced all the springs, the unit is level. I don't know what else to do.

Check the giant flywheel on the back of the drum. Sometimes, the legs that make it up start to corrode and break. When they do, the drum will wobble.

The machine is level but the drum spins as if it were not. loud and the machine moves forward

These new front load machines are much heavier and spin much faster than the top load machines. If you have old wood floors in your home or you live in a mobile home, the machine may tend to "walk" or vibrate on the floor. You can try putting something under the machine to help prevent it from walking as it is spinning.

check to see if the floor is solid and not soft, thin or flexible. are the leveling legs tight? make sure the locking nut is tight and that the leg does not wobble.

Washing machine drum is very wobbly

* General tips
* Balance the load
* Level the machine
* Inspect the water pump for a blockage
* Inspect the coupling
* Inspect the transmission
* Adjust the drive belt tension
* Check the motor bearings
* Check the drum brakes

The above are possibly the general remedies for this problem.But possible if the problem still persists after this, possibly the drum bearings might have been damaged during the previous heavy vibrations.Please do post comments.Will be glad to help you out.Good luck.

Brand new front load kenmore wobbles and moves across floor

Unless your front loader is set firmly on concrete and leveled to perfection, the force of a heavy wash load spinning in excess of 1000rpm will create a bit of vibration and noise.A firm footing is your best defense against to much movement.
Also due to the earlier movements during the spin cycle, the shocks that are used to dampen the spin cycle might have been broken or damaged.
If the problem persists inspite of proper levelling, please do check for the shocks or might have them replaced them for good.

LG Front Load Washer Problem

The washer is not leveled correctly.  You will need to adjust the front feet to level the machine.  Run a load of clothes in the washer.  When it gets to the spin mode, check the level of the machine by pushing the front left corner and the front right corner.  If the noise quiets down on either corner of the machine, adjust the legs on that side.
