Question about Fedders Appliance Air Conditioner Wall

2 Answers

My Fedders air conditioner, that I purchased approximately 3 years ago, has developed a fan motor bearing problem. I would like a technician to come to my home, and repair the problem. Is this possible?

3 years is not much of a liffe span for motor bearings. You may be able to fix it your self by oiling the motor bearings. Pull the unit out and find plastic plugs, remove them and drop 10 drops of oil in on each side, then cover the oil holes and hope it works.

If this is a window air conditioner, an option is to remove from window and take to appliance repair shop for evaluation. It can also be repaired
at your home but is generally more expensive. In both cases, it is best
to have model and serial number available just in case still under
extended warranty.
