Youmust make sure the paper drawers are open. the reset all the covers like the display says. i have had many machines only pull the paper out a little and say a jam but you can not see it. if this clears the jam make sure the paper size in the tray matches the size shown in the display , if they are differnt correct it. this will cause alot of paper jams.

If the jam still shows when you turn the machine off and on then you will have to look first to see which tray you were using at the time take the tray out and look inside the frame to see if paper has stuck by the feed rollers then open the side paper path guide to check non is on teh way up from there the next is reg transfer and fuser sections also pull the duplex out to make sure its not under the travel plateand last is to check betweent ehfuser exit and finisher opent he dooor on finisher if you have one and lift the plate at top right had the paper can sometimes be hidden there... failing that the sensor for the paper exit from fuser to duplex can sometimes jam a small bit there...if you know how to get into the sp modes you can go to data log 1 there you have the jam counters and jam history look at latest and the area will show up where it could be last. good luck A..

How to clear memory in a mp c5000 macine

There are many counters in this machine. Jam, Error, Feed, All, Memory, Service Codes etc, that are located in the service software of the machine. If you don't know what each one does you can end up doing more harm than good by wiping out the wrong ones. Best to call a trained tech.

Ricoh fax error #400

Possibly the fax line is open (busy). Try ringing the fax number, see what you get. Try unplugging the fax and plug a normal analogue handset into the line. See if you are getting a dial tone.
If not, then the cabling or line are faulty. Talk to your carrier. If yes then replace the cable on the fax (if possible) or have it looked at.
