Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3i Cellular Phone

Red Screen of Death on my Motorola W755

This is the second time this has happened in a month. Out of nowhere, my phone would not turn on or off, and became virtually useless. All I got was a red screen that said "CODE CORRUPT. CONTACT SERVICE PROVIDER". I took it to the Verizon store where even THEY couldn't tell me what the problem was. I lost all pics and videos (good thing I had the backup assistant for all my contacts). They tried to flash the software to no avail. Because I had the insurance on the phone, the phone itself was replaced at no cost to me. I was told that I had to keep the same battery and the back of the phone. So now, a month later, I woke up this morning and saw that the replacement now had the same problem. The old phone and its replacement have only 2 things in common...the battery and the back of the phone. Could the problem be with the battery? CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL MY WHY THIS HAPPENED OR WHAT CAUSED IT???

    Outside of this, I am happy with my phone. It's easy to use. I'm going to ask them to replace the battery. If it happens again, I will look into getting a new phone. BTW, in addt'n to the people at the Verizon store, the customer service tech (via phone) at Verizon didn't know what the problem was...nor did his supervisor. Sad. I can't imagine I'm the only person this has happened to. Thank you for your help.

Well it might be from verizon and it might be the battery. Try getting a new phone.

Is there a universal code for the moto w755?


Press menu on pin screen then enter 000000 if security option appears. If not then you are out of luck unless they can reflashed in store.

I have a motorola w755 hwa phone, it is no longer with a service provider, but i need the contacts from the phone, and the phone is locked and won't accept code.

You're likely out of luck unless you can push menu on pin screen to get security screen and then enter 000000.

The general solution is time consuming. When my son got his wet, we popped the back cover, took the battery out, and buried the phone in a bowl of rice. The rice will leech the water out of the phone.

My 755 won't turn on sticks on verison screen


okay i think i know how to solve this because it also happened to me.. okay first take the battery out and see if there is a red dot on the battery

RED DOT--- okay if there is a red dot then it got wet. thats how it died. take it to the Verizon store and they can fix it

NO Red DOT-- okay this means that you DID NOT get it wet. take the battery out and shake it ( i know it sounds silly but trust me on this), After you shake it put it back in the phone and shake the phone. it should work.

AND IF ALL OF THESE DIDN'T WORK... then go to the verizon store a get a new battery.
