Remote universal Can you help? I have a Pacific DVD and bought a remote materplug tvrc4n but no code for pacific dvd?any advice looked in instructions booklet and nothing for unknown code either?

Depends on what kind of universal remote you have. Each have their own codes and not all work with Pacific devices. Please submit remote info.

Found these codes for Pacific DVD.
3085, 3086, 3087, 3088.

there are two ways to unlock it.first is using the remote. the other is by opening your unit up and manually open the cd tray, then power on.if not, buying a universal remote won't help either, but bring it to a tech is the last option.

You can perform a manual search.

Press and hold TV,SAT,DVD or VCR until the centre light blinks red.

While it is blinking press 0000

The flashing will speed up.

Press the power button repeatedly - it will cycle through all codes.

When your device turns off (powers off) press the okay button.

It should now power on and off correctly.

Check the other buttons to see if everything works.

If it does not start the process again - it will hit another code which will also power down the device - takes a long time but should work - manual states it may take 20 mins - practise says longer!

Pacific TV - Press "SET" and Hold it, press "TV" and release it, then release "SET", then type one of these codes 0676, 0677, 0678 or 0679. After each code try powering off the TV using the remote. One should work. (I think the 2nd one worked for me).

Doing some searching I came across this, I hope it helps.

From instruction booklet

Power on the control device or VCR and put the tape in.

Press on the SET key continuously,then press the device key you want to set.For example, TV1/2,or VCR1/2,or SAT/CBL or AUX.

Then the LED is on, release the key you press.

Press the SET key again and release it,then you will go into QUICK SEARCH MODE and the LED will flash all the time.

Press the POWER key once at the device,URC22B will send another POWER signal of the next code.(If VCR/AUX, you will press the POWER or PLAY key). Observe if the device works(POWER OFF or PLAY),if it works, go to next step , otherwise repeat the step

whenever you want to leave SEARCH MODE,please press the device key,(TV1/2,or VCR1/2,or SAT/CBL or AUX.)
then the LED is off.

Then check other keys like [CH+/-],[VOL+/-] if they can be controlled.If cant be controlled,go back to the step

Hi there i also had this problem with my "onn" television and there isnt an "onn" make - apparantly it is the same as pacific or schneider so if you get a remote from asda theyre really cheap less than a tenner - i found that look up either schneider or pacific and the first code it says should work for your tv!hope this helps!
