Hello

theres a few things you can do, when you do format your memory stick make sure you format it to the default settings.
Also make sure everytime you put files onto your memory stick that you remove the memory stick safely you can do this by right clicking the memory stick and pressing eject.
However the problem could be that your memory stick is corrupt.

Sony vaio does not read a 2GB memory stick. any solution how to fix? thanks

Depends on how old the Vaio computer is. If the computer is over 5 years old, they won't read anything above 1GB. I have the same problem and the only "possible" sollution is to buy a new, external card reader and see if the solves the problem. I have yet to try this myself.

Data and bad sector Recovery software for 8 GB SAndisk

you can try some data recovery software. You can see
Recover data from memory card
It tells the steps how to perform data recovery.

If above does not work, you may have to format the memory card (use quick format), and then use above mentioned software to scan again the memory card and recover your files.

Hi:
There is a good chance your memory stick isn't bootable. You can go to my computer, select the memory stick, format it, and check the box to make start up disk.

I want to upgrade my ram what type of ram should i use and how what is the maximum amount of ram i can upgrade to?

Hi,
Memory Upgrade for Sony VAIO PCG-K35 Laptop, the Sony VAIO PCG-K35 Laptop takes the PC2100 DDR SDRAM SODIMMs Memory Type, and comes installed with 512 MB = 256 MB (removable) + 256 MB (removable) of Memory. You can upgrade your Sony VAIO PCG-K35 Laptop to up to a maximum of 1.0 GB Memory, the system has 2 sockets to install Memory, already with 512 MB = 256 MB (removable) + 256 MB (removable) standard Memory installed. For best Laptop performance use the maximum amount of allowed Memory per slot for your Laptop.
