Check the owner's manual, many breitling models have screw-in chrono buttons for the same reason as a screw-in crown. It may have a tough push to get it started but you should feel no grinding. A pop or a snap and the chrono should run. Otherwise you are going to have to send it to a service center on Breitling.com (assuming it is real). Remember, a chrono is $6000, do you want a local shoe repair shop to work on it without proper tools, or a Breitling center with the special tools. This is what you get in to when you get an expensive watch!

QHR021S

To reset the time on the Seiko QHR021S proceed as follows:
Press and hold the "Reset" button on the back of the Seiko QHR021S with the tip of a pen until the "Seconds" hand starts to move rapidly.
The "Seconds" hand should stop at "12". Then the "Minutes" & "Hours" should also work their way round to "12".
Give it a few minutes until it picks up and synchronises with the radio time signal and the clock should then adjust itself to the correct time.

Minute hand on atomic clock keeps moving

Take the battery out and put it back in the opposite direction. Wait 5 seconds. Put it back in the correct position. The minute hand will go around very fast and eventually come to a stop. This can take a couple days. That means it is waiting for a radio signal from Colorado. For a better signal, place the clock in a window that is facing Colorado. The minute hand will begin to spin very fast until it stops at the correct time. Again, this could take up to 2 days.

How does one change the date without winding the hands round and round till the correct date is showing

In such type of watches there are two notches on the lever. Once you first pull out the lever that is for time setting and once you pull it for the second time. first time around 2mm second time around 4mm it sets date and time. rotate it clockwise and set date and time.

HI, i have a gucci watch YA077310 and i dont know how to set it. also the second hand does not work.

To set the time, you normally pull out the crown and rotate it. The main (large) second hand is associated with the chronograph function so is stopped at 12 when no using chronograph. There should be a little second hand in a little round area on dial that is moving.

Festina 16177 / 8- Tour de France 2005 - second hand not moving

The large sweep hand is not the second hand,it is the 1,100th sec hand on chrono. The second hand during time mode is the small dial at the bottom which should be going round
