Try nail polish remover, but allow an hour with the door open for it to evaporate before using the dryer. Also don't leave it on paint as it will take it down to metal.

Somehow a ball point pen went into the dryer. I now have ink on the inside of the drum. What can I do to get the ink off the drum. It should be noted that the dryer weny through a complete cycle before...

You may have to experiment with solvents to find one that will remove the bulk of the ink. Start with rubbing alcohol, then try a mineral spirits (paint thinner) or WD-40 oil, and finally some acetone. Make sure there are no sparks or fire nearby while using these solvents. Be sure to clean the areas with a spray cleaner after any success to remove a lingering smell. You may have some permanent stain left that will just have to wear off, but shouldn't affect your clothes. Hope this helps!

My husband included a pen with his clothes. There is black ink all over the inside of the dryer. suggestions?

Shoot your husband.

Just kidding. Most of the ink can be cleaned with alcohol. If it doesn't then try some ink remover solutions or use lemon extract. You may even want to soak a cloth in lemon extract and place it in the dryer in tumble only cycle to let the dryer do some of the work.

Hope this helps. Make your husband do all the work!

Good luck.
