Re: wireless network connection

If you system is secured, then she would not be able to connect to the internet via your rour router unless she has the password.

She won't be able to connect to your pc unless any folders are shared on the network.

Right click on the network icon in your task bar and click view wireless networks, then when all the networks show delete them all and close the window, next, a pop up will say found wirelss connections click the icon again and look for your connection in the list and click connect and enter the pass phrase

The ploblem is In need the solution of wire less network to build in the big house.

I presume you need Internet access in this house using a wireless network.
The best place to locate the wireless router is in a spot centrally located where the radio signals can reach the rooms where the computers are located. The DSL or cable modem/connection would also need to be in this area so it can connect to the wireless router.
If the wireless router is in a multi-storey house and the floor slab and walls are concrete and/or brick, then the radio signals will be impeded and the signal strength to some rooms will be weak.
In such circumstances, it maybe better to install network cables from these rooms to the wireless router, or install wireless access point repeaters to increase wireless coverage.
If you are not sure how to setup and install this network, then I suggest you get help from a computer savy friend or from your computer friendly shop.

I am a teacher at an elementary school and I am trying to connect a Dell Wireless 1450 Wireless USB adaptor to a brand new Dell computer. We have wireless internet at our school. I cannot get the thing to...

so you are not able to see the networks at all,1st make sure that we are detecting the wireless network and that the drivers are installed in the computer
follow these steps..
click on start, control panel, network and internet connection and then network connection.
2)under network connection you will see a conneciton that says wireless network connection.
3)right click and click on view wireless networks, once you are in this box if it says windows cannot configure then perform step number 5 and if you can see the network perform steps no 4.
4)you will probably see the network of you school, click on the netwokr name and you will see a tab that says connect, click on connect and if the network in your school is secured then it will tell you to put in the password which you can get by speaking with the network administrator..once connected it will tell you that you are connected and then try going online..
5)if no networks are detected and says windows cannot configure, click on start, all progams, dell wireless and then click on dell wireless wlan card utility,
6)In this card utility you will see a that says general and under that tab you will see a box which will shows you the available networks then click on the network and then either you will have a connected button or cofigure button now depending upon the network it will either tell you to put the password or the network key once you do that the wireless should get connected and you should be able to go online now...
hope this steps will resolve the issue...Best of luck...

How can I install a wireless usb adapter WG1111....

First put in the cd that came with the wireless USB adapter. Close the auto setup page(we will use windows wireless network manager which works better with windows firewall . Plug in the wireless adapter and the laptop will automatically install the driver. If for some strange reason it asks you to install new found hardware, follow the promts and install manually and select cd and the directory the WG1111 drivers are located. Press ok and wait for install. Restart the computer.

After restart the computer will come up with a caption New Wireless Networks found. Double click on the wireless Icon in the bottom left hand corner. It will open a seperate screen with all wireless connections avaliable to you. Might be 1 or more networks, depending on whether your neighbours have wireless networks. Anyway find your specific wireless network could be for example NetGear, Dlink, or my home network. Click on connect your wireless connection. Another smaller screen will appear with Key in your password twice( WEP key or WPA key)
Key in your key or password twice and apply or ok. It will connect and close screen.
Restart computer!
After restart the computer will pick up your connection automatically and your ready to go on line. If you move your mouse down to the icon with wireless network in bottom left hand corner it will show your wireless connection in a caption stating the connection name and how strogn signal is. Connection complete.
