Question about Televison & Video
I have a 24" LED LCD tv AK24FLEDG.It has lost all its channels and when I try to manual or auto tune it only finds one. It is plugged in wall socket, has aerial connection but no other connections. When I run through "channel tuning" it only finds one channel and when I run through ATV+DTV auto tuning I have to switch off AFC (whatever that is) and search - only one channel everytime (channel one)

Tuner fault. Check and replace it. Do a reset to this TV first, and then check. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.
Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.

SOURCE: tuning in the tv
Most TV's auto search feature will try both the Cable and the Air
frequencies, but perhaps yours doesn't. Go to the menu page for
tuner setup and make sure it is set on Air (might be called broadcast)
and then run the channel search.
Cable channels and Broadcast channels (above channel 12) are not the same frequencies.
Hope Ya Fix It!

The problem is that the modulator output frequency of your sky box is exactly the same as for example chanel 5 on your terestrial aerial.
You need to change this number to a different one thats clear of local terestrial transmissions
1) Select the Services button on your Sky or Sky+ remote control.
2) Type in 401 [select] on your key pad and you will get to the installer menu. You cant gain access to this via the drop down menu as it is designed for the Sky Engineer to use.
Select Option 4 to configure the RF outlets on your Sky Digibox.
4) The option RF Chanel Number change this number from example 35 to 60 .
You may need to do this using other numbers 26 34 55 etc
Every time you alter the number store it then try & tune TV to sky.
Any other sets in the house connected by RF leads will require retuning for sky.
Save new settings and you should find that your RF outlet to TV works fine.

i just saw a post which I believe will solve my problem (I connected to the wrong coax antenna plug). I haven't tried, but I'm pretty sure that is the problem.
Here's the post from akai_owner from 2007:
Look at the back of your TV. Make sure your cable is hooked up to connector on far right, NOT the far left. (For analog cable TV.)
Push "source" button on remote or side of TV to cycle through TV inputs. Wait one second between pushes. You want to stop just before the source that displays "AV" on TV screen. It should show a number, for the current channel number.
If you are using an analog cable box, try setting the TV channel to 3 or 4. If you use no cable box, try changing channels on TV to find an active one. If no luck, make sure your cable service is active (subscription active). Cable companies disconnect it between residents of an apartment/house.

Automatically tunes in and preset
receivable TV stations.
Make sure the antenna cable is
1 Press MENU (PRESET-1) on the
upper part of the LCD TV set for
more than two seconds. The
AUTO mode screen appears.
2 Press VOL (–)/(+) (PRESET-2)
on the upper part of the LCD TV
All the TV stations in your area
that can be received by the LCD
TV set are automatically preset.
3 The screen shows whatever is on
channel 1 when full auto channel
preset is finished.
