    russ7sly,

    Where is the
washer fluid neck filler? When I open the little plastic cover from the trunk to look behind the tail light, I see some wires. Do you have pics? I'm more visual.

    Thanks.

All you need to do is remove the clip holding the washer fluid neck filler, once this is out of the way you can access the big gray backing that should have two wires coming out of it. just twist in the direction indicated and remove the cap, now you have access to the back of the bulb, remove the wires attatched to it and remove the metal clip that holds the bulb in place. now just put the new one in. You will see a small tab on the round part of the bulb, below the glass, align it right in the slot and put the metal clip back on and put the wires back on and backing cap and washer filler cap. P.S do not touch the glass on the new bulb, the grease on your fingers will prematurely burn the bulb out.

2000 Subaru Outback Wagon (100K miles) with P0420 Code

I do not know for sure if this is the problem you are having, But, I have noticed that from 95 up to 2002 I have seen a lot of PO420 codes that have been just the sensor. I do not know if it was a weak sensor or just that program telling it that it is below threshold. I did notice that if the vehicles are run for a long trip at highway speed it goes out. I wish you luck and have a great day.

Need to replace a headlight assembly for a 2006 Subaru Outback.

No, you just remove the radiator grill and the side marker light and the headlight housing bolts and it comes out. Not a real hard job and is Real straight forward. Good luck and have a good day.
