You wont have reset button on your phone..But if you want to reset all your phone setting and data follow these procedures

  • go to Settings>Options>Security Options>General Settings
  • And then press the menu button to the left of the trackball, you should see Wipe Handheld as an option in the menu.
  • This will wipe all data from the handheld and will, for the most part, restore the handheld to the factory settings.

Enjoy!! Dude

From what I understand, the phone will not turn on at all and therefore you would like to know which buttons to hold to Hard Reset the phone. Unfortunately, this is not possible on this model of cell phone. For your problem though, I would try using a new battery, which can be purchased very cheap on eBay. Also, if you have a friend with the same phone you could try using their battery.

There is not a "single button" it is a series of code numbers. Contact your cell phones service provider for this code and how to input it.

A reset of a BlackBerry smartphone is a troubleshooting method that will completely power off and restart the BlackBerry smartphone's operating system software and applications. It is a useful first step if a BlackBerry smartphone is experiencing hardware, software, or wireless network problems.
Note: A reset of a BlackBerry smartphone does not delete any settings or data.
There are two options for performing a reset: a hard reset and a soft reset.

A hard reset involves physically removing the battery from the smartphone and then reinserting it. To perform a hard reset, complete the following steps:
1) Remove the battery cover from the back of the BlackBerry smartphone.
2) Remove the battery, and then reinsert it after a few seconds.
3) Replace the battery cover.
A soft reset is a three key combination that resets the BlackBerry smartphone without removing the battery. It is only available on BlackBerry smartphone models with a QWERTY keyboard. SureType® technology and touch screen BlackBerry smartphones, such as the BlackBerry® Pearl™ smartphone, BlackBerry® Pearl™ Flip smartphone, and BlackBerry® Storm™ smartphone cannot be reset in this manner.
To perform a soft reset, complete the following steps:
1) Press and hold down the ALT key on the smartphone.
2) While holding down the ALT key, press and hold down the right-hand CAP key.
3) With both of those buttons still pressed, press the DELETE key. The display on the BlackBerry smartphone will turn off to indicate that the reset has started, and the keys can now be rIt is normal behavior

Placed password shut phone down

Which model are you wanting help with - You mention both the 8300 and 8900?

In any case - The 8300 doesn't have a reset button? On the 8900 it may be behind the battery cover if so you will need a paper clip.

The following advice is general to Blackberry's and will help clear the memory and reset issues - These are both the soft and hard reset.

You can do a soft reset using Left Alt, Right Shift and Delete - Hold down keys simultaneously for a couple of seconds.

If that doesn't work - Try power down, remove the battery for a minute or so, re-insert battery and then power back on.

Let me know how you get on with the above - If they don't work - Can you also clarify which model no as I have given you generic advice for both models...
