Blackberry storm switches itself off when battery low

this i suppose is not unreasonable, but when i plug it in and leave it charge, 2hrs later it still wont restore radio signal and still cant use it! ridiculus, only 3 months old too. whats that about??? and it does stuff i didn't ask it to-eg am writing a text and suddenly camera turns on when i never touched any side buttons then that horrid egg timer comes up and it crashes for 10mins or more!!!

Check the type of charger you are using. I have seen aftermarket chargers that will fit into the BlackBerry charging port, and the BB will even indicate it is charging, but won't actually charge the BB properly. Try this with the original charger provided with your BB and see if the problem persists.

i just got my bb pearl 8100 and was able to successfully unlock it but as soon as i started to add up my phone address it started to do weird things on it's own. eg. the cam switches on even if you don't touch it, there are instances that it would redirect you to the address book when you start using the pearl cursor. the other problem i had with it is it doesn't transfer phone adress from the sim to the phone. can someone help out with this? some people said it's got something to do with the firmware that they may have installed or maybe the way they unlocked the phone? i'm totally lost right now.

Have you updated to the latest OS provided by your service provider? If not, the latest OS resolves a lot of the issues.
