I finally fixed the problem myself(TomTom support not open on week-ends).I deleted all TomTom software and files, added an SD card for more memory, and then reloaded everything including new maps.Seems to be OK now.

I have a new TomTom Go 2535 that is reading No Maps Found! I have tried a hard reset with no luck. The TomTom seems frozen. Can you help me...

Usually, you'll want to connect a new TomTom GPS to your computer, and (using TomTom HOME), register the device and get the latest maps (downloaded and) installed on your GPS.
Then, you'll have maps on your GPS.

I keep getting a message on my tomtom one saying no map found. i`ve formatted the sd card many times but cant get map up. can you help please?

If your device is saying no maps found, what you need to do is to download new maps on the SD or on your device. That way your device should be able to read maps, or better still, you can reset your tom tom by using a paper clip, to press and hold the reset button.

Or you can hold the power button for about 15 seconds, that way the unit will restart, once it restarts, then you will be able to access your maps and other things on your device.

Hope this information helped you solve your problem.

You cannot take maps from one TomTom and put them on another TomTom. The maps are coded to that particular TomTom. It would seem the only option left to you is to purchase another map from TomTom.

Tomtom one displays no maps found

The problem with that approach is that you cannot transfer maps from another device onto yours without product key activation codes. This is to prevent piracy or abuse of maps on individual devices.

Did you find a good solution?

Hi Steve de may.

Try removing your SD card and inserting again. If the problem persists then I recommend you use your backed up copy to restore the SD card. You did make a back up on your PC, right?

The other possibility is that in the preferences section of you tom tom the wrong map has been selected or a map that it cannot read has been loaded. Remember newly purchased maps must be activated first before use.

I made a copy of may original SD card and use that in my tomtom. If anything goes wrong, I can always restore it from the original. I also made a copy on my PC using the Tomtom "Home" application.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Spare head 2.

No maps found??

The problem is caused by a version mismatch between the Application version and the Map Version. They must both be the same. For example, if the TomTom has not had the application updated, but you updated the maps, the TomTom will not know how to read the file.

Make sure that if you are trying to use a version 815 map, that you are using a version 8.XXX application too. I had to upload two application version changes before I could read the new USA maps.
