Question about Apex Digital GB4308 43" Rear Projection EDTV-Ready Television
We had our tv worked on and the man said he what he do was re do mainunit and hv block. I do not know what that is but it cost us $415.00 to fix it. Now we have red and green lines on the screen. It is like when there is writing it starts under the writing and is red goes up through the regular writing and is green. The people have red under there eyes and green on the head. I do not know what to do. could you please help me. We can not afford to get it fixed again and the tv is only 3 years old.
I feel ya, it is very expensive to get a tv repairs for normous fact's, keep in mind it cost money to have a shop going, insurance, gas expenses, labout, goverment what also there share, training, tele, heat hydro, cable, most info or from enternet, everytime you have a outside shot, bingo, the tele is double, cable, more money for insurence,,,, bla bla bla.
Your problem is convergence, I haven't worked on this model yet, but zenith, bad choice, in the set check to see if you have fused link to the two big grey ic's knowed as convergence it's, they should have +/- voltage on the ic's pin's mostly 30volt dc. and - 30 vcd. These ic's should say stk on them like stk392-150 as excemple. keep in mind you can order the hole bord, sometime it is cheaper, contact zenith help desk for parts to see how mutch they cost..
If you need more info send me the ic's part # on them or go on googles and it will tell you the pinout voltages once's you find the magn. info.
I hope this help
