Put empty bucket in,it runs for minute, then shuts off. need a switch that won't shut off. Where could I find one my zip code is 44451.

The switch may not be the problem. However, a dirty or clogged air intake filter or the humidity extraction level set to high could be.

Turn the unit OFF & unplug it.
Remove and clean the air intake filter thoroughly. Be sure the filter is completely dry, before reinstalling. Never operate the unit without the filter in place.

After the filter is dry, reinstall it, plug the unit and turn it ON. Lower the humidity extraction level to 35%. If you have an analog unit (No LED screen) set the humidity extraction knob on Maximum.

And finally, be sure that the water collection bucket is installed properly and is not vibrating loose when the unit runs. It should fit squarely into it's holder, making contact with the bucket safety removal switch on the back wall of the bucket holder. When installed properly, it should not tilt down at the bottom of the bucket.

All of the above should solve the problem and you won't need to purchase a new switch. But, in the unlikely event, that you will have to. You will need to furnish the Brand Name of the unit and the Correct Model Number. As, they are not all the same.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

DE45EJ-T When you put tray in it won't turn on. If you push the lever with your finger it works without tray

That's because when you reinsert the bucket into the bucket holder, it's not making firm contact with the bucket safety removal switch. When you reinstall it, be sure that the bucket fits "squarely" into the holder from top to bottom. Once it's inserted properly, it just not tilt down on the bottom.

I have two of these dehumidifiers. They won't go on automatically. I don't understand the settings. One of them won't stay on at all. It runs and then shuts off.

As per your problem, that the dehumidifier shuts offautomatically - If yourdehumidifier froze, the compressor will shut off automatically. Allow the iceto melt before emptying the tank and restart the dehumidifier. Hope this will help you. Good Luck.

Hello, I have a Whirlpool dehumidifier Model# AD25USV (recall adjustment already complete) I have never had any technical problems or damages to the unit, and it has worked great, until...

Hello Shane

Mine won't beep at all. But try this trick I watched the guy do when he came to service mine for the recall they had and push Humid button fan button and power button first hold the first two then push the power button and hold all three for awhile. What this did for him was verify all systems working all the lights came one in sequence.

I do this to mine and will beep twice and nothing else. I've taken mine apart to check the fuse and it's still good so there must be a component that is not working.

On the back of your unit you will find a 800 number which will get you in touch with Trans Global Service which serviced it for the recall.

The dehumidifier shut off automatically but will not come back on. Model M7DH45B2A

If the unit shut off automatically, because it had reached the humidity extraction level you had it set on. It won't turn back ON again, until the humidity level rises above the setting you have it on. Lowering the humidity extraction level to 32 -35%, should make it start up again and cycle like it should. If your unit does not have an LED Screen, set the manual control on Maximum.Be sure the bucket is not full and the air intake filter is clean.

Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem.

My dehumidfier won't shut off. I check everything out and it's good but it just won't shut off it keep running.

It may be, that you have it running in continuous mode, rather than timed mode. Also, most dehumidifiers fans will run almost continually, to keep the air moving, so the humidity sensor can pickup and increase in humidity, if there is one.

If the above doesn't seem to be the problem with your unit, turn The Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF and unplug the unit for 12-15 minutes. This will give the electronics time to reset themselves, if necessary.

Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

I have a FDL70S1 Dehumidifier. Unit runs for just a couple minutes and shuts off-blinking bucket full even though no water in bucket. Unit won't stay on

Dont spend to much time trying to repair dehumidifier they are very cheap to replace. Most dehumidifiers have lots of problems because they are made so cheap. Just replace the dehumidifier you will tank me in the end.

The dehumidifier runs but no waster is coming out

Frank it sounds like to me that it needs to be shut off a while, Was there a power outage or did you happen to shut it off and try to restart it real fast. If so then the compressor can not push the freon through. let it sit for about 8 to 10 minutes so the pressure drops and then restart it. Otherwise it will just burn up the compressor

01% humidity

When you push the power button, the blower fan comes on. In a few minutes you should hear a second "click"--that is your compressor starting. Do you hear that second click?

The compressor is located in the rear bottom on the right side looking at the machine. After you press the start button and the blower fan comes on, bend over near the back of the unit and listen for the "click".
