How to fix text from printing unevenly as if the roller was not rolling consistently?

The top of the document has legible text but it fades as the printing continues, making the text fade unevenly down the page. The print is generally darker down the edges of the page and faded in the center.

Sorry, I don't have one. Mine was a different problem; incompatibility between my old hp desk jet 5650 and my new Mac Book Pro. Just needed a newer printer!
When something like what you describe happens it is because the cartridge is dry; I change the cartridge.

SOURCE: print quality: dark faded, but continuous

Open top cover and remove toner, shake toner cartridge and try a test print. IF image good then problem is low toner level in cartridge.

Uneven printing faded on right have checked green levers they are ok

Could do with a bit more information is it an all colours or just one colour. It might be the fuser which is the heat rollers at the top of the printer if you open side door and lift paper guide to reveal the rollers and check the left side of the rollers for any damage or wearing. you can print of a config sheet in the menu that will tell you the percentage of life left on the consumables (toners, transfer belt, drums and fuser) hope this helps.

Uneven copy quality- Canon Copier

If the toner isnt burned on paper it means that you have to change fixing roller bushings and fixing roller.
Because you have uneven pressure between fixing and press roller

Scan views fine; prints fuzzy

Try to change the dpi to the maximum, maybe 600 dpi. This will make the picture more defined.

Consistent, faded and streaking vertical lines across entire page, from top to bottom.

Toner issue getting to drum - use gen toner cart.

or Drum blade stuffed (lines are down page fro top to bottom- replace drum assy

Drum has been exposed to light faint or blank across copies repeated 4 times down page - replace drum assy

or upper fuser roller stuffed, down page, smudgy print -  replace fuser

LSU(laser) or boards rarely cause issues

Eadch line of text is slightly faded at the bottom from laserjet 1100

It is possible that the transfer roller needs replacing as this causes it. Have you recently wiped clean the black roller that sits under the toner cartridge if you have you may have damaged it.

Best thing is to replace the transfer roller very easy to do and not expensive.

Hope this works for you and please rate me
Thanks J
