SOURCE: panel control

Check to see it he belt is good, there is a kill switch on the belt which will stop the operation. Could be a broken belt or bad switch. Spin the drum if it is too easy then it is the belt.

SOURCE: Kenmore HE4 no power to control, no sound, but the drum light bulb on when door opened

I have the same indications. It power up intermittently with the check lint LED lit. The manual said it will (lintLED) turn off when the start button is press but only gives me a beep when I press start. Lint LED only turn off when I open door. The dryer will function normally. I disassembled lint assemby and clean it thoroughly, including moisture sensor. I run a diagnostics, all LED lit with 88 displayed on panel. The second 8 flash with a continous beep. I check the power cord and removed panel but have not done a continuity check. The dryer is working now.

unplug dryer, then take the top off and check your connections to door switch.i believe this model has a broke belt switch.open the bottom with the machine unplugged and reach inside and see if the belt is broke.if it is then replace the belt.

SOURCE: My kenmore elite he3 electric dryer control panel

The control board is bad. You will have to replace it. You might aslo theck the fuse, sometimes they look a little different than you are used to. Refer to your owners manual and wiring diagram to find it. You can also find more info on the Whirlpool website. Whirlpool makes Kenmore.

Why won't my Whirlpool Senseon Dryer start? The control panel will not respond. No buttoms will light up or beep. The dryer has power and the door latch works properly and the light comes on inside

Always disconnect power before attempting any service. Most electric dryers require 240 volts to operate properly.
You may have only 120 volts to supply the dryer which will give you your symptoms. Click dryer circuit breaker off then back on to reset 240 volt system.Still no heat/run

No dryer or washer control will start the unit running. appears no power...we checked for 240v at plug it ok...

Check the 240 vac again, but measure each leg to neutral while attempting to start the appliance. Each "leg" should measure approx. 120 VAC< (half of the total voltage) and should not change when the unit is started.I think you will find that the two 120 VAC legs will read OK until start up. If the voltage value on one leg drops to 60 VAC or less and the other leg increases by the same amount, Then there is a problem with the neutral wire or the connection between the ground of your appliances and earth ground. This is very common, particularly manufactured homes. Most dryers, for example, use 240 VAC to run the heating element, but also use 120 VAC (one leg of the 240) to provide power to operate the control panel. So... every time a start is attempted, the line becomes unbalanced, the 120 VAC to the control panel suddenly drops, the control panel resets, removing the load, the 240 VAC line becomes balanced again and appears normal.

I have a Kenmore Dryer mod. 96281100 which runs but no heat. I tested power input at 240v, thernal fuse closed, thermal hi temp closed, element closed and not grounding, thermostat cut-off closed, and...

If you have 240 VAC across the element, but the element is not heating, then you have a bad element. If you don't have 240 VAC at the element, then work your way back with the voltmeter to find where the voltage is dropping

Kenmoore 70 series dryer wont start

Are you 100% certain the dryer has 240 VAC? Just because a light may light does not guarantee both legs of 240 VAC are hot.

If you measured motor continuity, then you must be able to read a wiring diagram/schematic. Most Kenmore units have a wiring diagram/schematic glued to the back of the rear service panel, or folded and stored in the control head.

I am unable to find a wiring diagram on the internet, but, you have a door switch, and the timer/control.

Use the wiring diagram to trace the signal path's to determine where the failure is.

Let me know if you have any questions and I will do my best to help.
