How can I fix an un-level ice cube tray that spills water into the freezer of my LG LRSC26925TT refrigerator?

The ice cube tray in my LG LRSC296925TT refrigerator is not level and dumps water into the main compartment of my freezer. I am wondering if there is a way to re-level the tray or if I may have to replace the tray or possibly the whole ice maker assembly to keep this from happening. Thanks!

If you pop the front cover off the ice maker you will find a screw with a plus and minus on it. Adjust it and that will cut the water fill down and should solve the overfill problem. If the ice is not dumping spray the tray with Pam and that should solve the dump problem.

SOURCE: LG LRSC 26923TT Side by Side Refrigerator Problem with ice maker

We have the same problem with the ice cube tray. Repairman said the tray must be replaced every year as continual bending warps it out of shape. Replace every year and your problem is solved.

SOURCE: LG ice maker only making two ice cubes at a time

Colenoid in the ice dispenser may be clogged or have a small amount of trash in it. Is there a filter on before the fridge (just after the ice maker shutoff)?

SOURCE: water dispenser on front of refrigerator door does not dispense water. Ice Cube maker continues to make ice cubes. Defrosting doesn't fix problem.

Water dispensing solenoid is bad. You need to replace the solenoid valve. This typically is independent of the ice maker.

SOURCE: ice freezes into one solid block and won't dump out of the tray

remove cube tray from ice maker. clean with limeaway adn rinse. Spray with a light coating of PAM cooking spray. wipe dry and reinstall. be careful not to damage the sensor ( in center of tray)

My ice freezes as a block when dispensed into ice tray

There are water level adjustment screws behind the plastic cover of the ice maker to adjust the water level when it refills after dumping a tray of ice. When there is to high of a water level it spills over onto the cubes freezing them into a big block. Try to adjust the level of water. There is a arrow which tells you which way to turn the screw to get a smaller fill fixing the problem.

Ice cube tray does not fill up water feeding tube is frozen.

The problem you are having is caused by water leaking past the=> MJX42111401 Water Inlet Valve Change the MJX42111401 Water Inlet Valve and this will solve the water freezing between ice harvest. On most refrigerators this part can be found on the back of refrigerator and near floor, Let me know if you have other questions, Thanks Sea Breeze

How to fix LG icecube tray 3390JA115A

Hello there,
Fixing the ice cubes tray is quite simple, all you need to do is to hold the ice tray by the edge and gently slide it into the ice tray position. Pull out the drawer and place the ice tray into the freezer.
To make ice cubes, fill the ice tray to the water level and place it in the freezer.
Hope this helped. All the best Elect_Comp

Ice cubes get caught in the slots, I have too break cube to get out of the slot. I think maybe my cubes are too small.

I think you are right. Keep in mind that ice will shrink below the volume of water that you put in each slot in the tray. Try overfilling the tray with water, so that you guarantee that the ice in each slot will connect on the top of the tray. You will find it much easier to bring the cubes out of the tray that way. Of course, if you will the slots with too much water, you will spill the water before you get the tray into the freezer.

Ice sticks together

the ice cubes stick together because the water level in the tray is to high and the cubes can not be separated so turn the valve on the wall behind the unit closed some to lessen the amount of water in the tray

I am assuming you have the ice maker that the tray twists to release the ice. There is a new tray out with a wall to prevent the water spilling over. The part number is
