The gas oven is two years old. We first noticed it was taking longer to warm up then we started to notice a gas smell. We did the self cleaning and then took it apart to be sure there was anything down or around the ignitors. Worked once now we are back to the smell and not heating up.
If you are having problems with the bake feature not lighting or taking longer than usual to ignite, you may have an oven igniter going bad. The following link explains:

The gas for both oven manifolds is fed through the same source. Barring a problem with the oven control board, you more than likely have an ignitor on the bake manifold failing or has become weak. The bake feature tends to fail more often due to the frequency of use.
Read through the link provided and let me know if you have any questions. I hope this helps you.
The igniter is probally on it's way out. You will likely start noticing it taking longer to cook or not reaching temp easily. The poof is the gas valve partially opening then the igniter finally ignites it. The flame is usually smaller or yellower.
The problem is usually the igniter not reaching the correct amp draw .When the igniter does not reach the correct amp draw it may allow the gas valve to partially open or not open at all. The igniters are inexpensive and easy to replace. This video will walk you thru the correct procedure for testing an oven igniter. It may be a different model but the testing will be the same. You can also enter your model # for diagrams and illustrations of your specific model. Not all models are available. All parts come with installation instructions.
