According to the specs of the MSI 9400gt 512mb HDMI graphics cards, its system requirements are:
1. PCI Express or PCI Express 2.0 - compliant motherboard with one x16 graphics slot.
2. Power supply of 300 (and up) watt is highly recommended for system stability.

Make sure that your power supply meets the or exceeds the system requirements for this graphics card.

Unable to get sound with a HDMI cable. Zogis 9400GT 1Gb 128bit PCIExtra Video card.

Video cards do not process sound, so sound will not come through an HDMI cord that is connected to a PCI video card, you will need a seperate sound wire plugged into your sound card or motherboard to connect to your monitor or speakers. I hope this helps!

My geforce 9400 GT will not properly install drivers in my ASUS M2V-MX SE. When install the nvidia drivers old and new. the video card has a yellow exclamation next to it

If you uninstall the onboard driver and then update the new cards driver in device manager the problem should be solved.

If not you can always reinstall your operating system, that usually solves any driver issue.

If that doesn't work then your card is most likely not compatible with your motherboard.

Uninstall the current display drivers from the Control Panel > Remove Programs.

Then, go to Windows Update to download their version of the driver. It will work.
