Check in the Yellow Pages first to see if there is a small appliance repair shop in your area. If you want to try it yourself, Home Depot stocks replacement plugs that are generic and should fit the unit. Just make DARN sure you wire it up correctly and don't cross a hot lead with the ground wire.

Another website posted a solution: The Proctor Silex PS35015 cord is the same as the Rival's PL1215 cord. They were able to order from Proctor Silex and they said it worked great. Seems this is a wide spread problem with the Winget so I hope this helps anyone needing the replacement cord since it seems to be out of stock at Rival.

I am almost positive that you will have to lift the whole thing to empty the fryer. It looks as if it is one whole piece.
