Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
My 2yr old somehow manged to squeeze 4 discs into the drive of my ps3!! Took the console apart and took out the discs but now when i go to put in a disc it just makes multiple clicking noises and wont feed the disc. Something in the mechanism is out of place but dont no what. Any ideas?
When you put the Disc drive back together, the mechanism probably did not go togther properly. You have to put it together with a disc in the drive. It is very hard to get the disc player to go back together properly I know. I needed three hands to do it. I done one. It took me several tries, but I finally got it. Another thing, since you have already disassembled your PS3 and need to do it again, go to Radio shack and get some Thermal heat transfer compound, Replace the compound between the heat sinks and processors. The original compound dries up after about a year and will kill your PS3 completely if you do not do this. Good luck,I know its not going to be easy.
