Hi, as the sets get older the codes for older models get deleted to make room in the remotes memory chip for the newer models, this is probably why none of the universals will work for you, post the model number found on the back cover of your tv & I`ll look it up to see if theres a sub or the original is still available, video-tek

Well the universal remote will need to have the ability to gain access to the menu so you can go and change the settings for the "v-chip" or what ever the child lock is that you speak of. I hope you know what the password is or it may be "locked" for a very very long time. I say this about the password because usually this control is password protected. Yours may not be but,....
