Samsung s8300 how do i speed dial using keyboard

Hi, I found a way to get Speed Dial on the Eternity or Ultra Touch . As follows: [most of this from Phonebook/More/Settings/1 ]

1. Copy all address book entries from Sim to Phone Memory.
2. Delete all Sim Address book entries.
3. Switch Address book source to Sim.
3. Re-enter up to 99 speed dial entries in Sim, in the exact order you want them to be assigned to speed dial.
4. Switch Address book source back to Phone Memory.
From now on all numbers on the Sim will be in Speed Dial and you will view the address book from phone memory. Of course any number can be in both places.
Now to speed dial just enter 1#, 2# etc for any number in the Sim Address book. You will get to view and confirm the entry and then dial. In a way this is even better then the speed dial functions on older Samsungs, as the preview before dialing ensures you have the right speed dial entry.
I think it works fine. dk

9397056163 address plz

939-DDD-DDDD .........

It's either Homer Simpson's fictional area-code, or, in real-life ...

Area code 939 - Puerto Rico

Due to a shortage of 787-related numbers that was a result of increased cell phone and modem usage on the island, 939 was created as an overlay for the original 787 area code. Most telephone numbers in Puerto Rico that have this area code tend to be wireless phones.
As an overlay, the area code was added sometime around September 2001. The 939 area code was created following 787's split from the legacy regional 809 area code.
When in Puerto Rico, the full area code + seven digit phone number must be dialed.

Area code 939 In Popular Culture Is a Area Code of Springfield (The Simpsons) a fictional city in U.S.

All of a sudden, I cannot get through to my Voicemail to listen to my messages. The recording says the phone number is incorrect. How do I get the correct Voicemail phone number?

What cell phone carrier do you use? Verizon? Sprint? AT&T? If it's Verizon, I've had this problem before. The number for Verizon is *86, but occasionally my phone will give me an error. If you type in *86 manually and call it, it works. I've saved a custom address book entry called "* Voicemail" with *86 as the phone number and it works great. The asterisks leading the word "Voicemail" is so that it shows up first in my address book instead of having to go to the "V" section.

What is a dial out code?

A dial-out code is a number that is automatically added when you dial a number. It can be either your area code or (usually) your country code.
Let's say the number stored in your phone is (123) 456-7899. So if your dial-out code is set to "+1", then the number dialed is +1-123-456-7899. This ensures that, wherever you are on this planet, you will always reach that number in the US.

On home phones you can sometimes set a dial-out code (like "123"), and if you dial 456-7899, then it automatically adds your area code to the number.

What sometimes happens is, let's say you bought your phone in the US, but you live in another country, your phone still automatically adds a "+1" to all your numbers stored in your phone unless specified otherwise. That's why you have to set the dial-out code to your specific region.

My phone when I press for automatic dialing it adds a 1 in front of the number and the call wont get completed but if i dialed the number manually it wont add the 1 and the call gets completed. Balckberry...

When you do your automatic dialing, does the number include the area code? ie. mine is 937 (937-xxx-xxxx)
If you don't have the area code put in with the rest of the number, that may be your problem. 1 is the country code for USA, so normally when you see a number that says +11234567890, its country code, area code, phone number.
+1(country)123(area code)4567890(phone number)
So anyway, the only thing I can think of is to put the area code in the phone numbers in your address book if they are not already there. Other than that, I dont know.
