No green color on crt monitor Giant Optics email me at ronquillo_aragon@yahoo.com

Unplug the monitor from the computer - the monitor's Self-Test (when no video is running to it), does it have all three - Red, blue, and GREEN.

If yes, monitor is fine- Check the pins on the VGA connector to see if any pin is out of whack.

If no,problem with monitor- Get it replaced or repaired.

My monitor has no red color. modle#DL36,serial#011378,MFG.1,1999. can this be repaird? if so where? gateway brand.

Before you replace it (don't repair it) with an LCD monitor:

1.Push and tighten the monitor cable where it connects to the computer.
2. Push and tighten the monitor cable behind the monitor if it has a connector.

3. If these fail, then (seriously) whack the monitor on either side with your open palm.

4 Repeat #4 a couple of times, maybe on the left side this time.

5. Tube/gun/circuit is failing, replace monitor ($80 ~ $120).

Hope this at least temporarily helps...
