My yellow auxillary cable wont work for my xbox 360

Do you have just the yellow AV cable or do you have the RGB connections as well. If so you might test them as the problem my be with the cable.

Also another thing to check is if you have the cable with the RGB connnection you need to make sure the switch is not set to HD because if it is the yellow connection with not work.

Let me know if you have any more problems or questions.

Xbox 360 Fan Voltage modification -- constant 12V

Hello and welcome to fixya.

The RROD (red ring of death) Issue in xbox 360s is a very very common problem, that is often solved the wrong way, for example the xclamp fix, it may last a month or two, then your back to issues, if you have a xclamp mod installed remove it right away. It can ruin the board, it bends the board.

What will help you more is to turn up the voltage of the fans from temperature controlled 5-12v to a steady 12Volt.

The console will make a bit more noise, but it will stay cooler and keep your rrod problems away. This modification may fail some day in the future or cause other problems in a year or two later, if that happens, you would have to undo the modification. i'm thinking long term here, possibly replace failing components or find another source for 12volts.

A Source for ~12volts:
add picture of mainboard here

In the above picture I've marked the 12volt source that I've used for two xbox 360 motherboards so far, with no issues to date.

You need to solder a wire to this connector

you need to cut the fans + side wires ( RED and Brown ) The black and Blue will work as a ground leave them attached.

You will need a "sugar cube" to connect the wireing, we will share the 12volt for two or tree fans, if you decide to add another one.

I have the black xbox console.I bought a 3 month Gold Subscribtion for xbox live as a new member so I can join...I can not seem to get it to work . i was told that this card would work on the xbox console...

You have an Elite Xbox 360 Console. This would have no impact on the functionality of the Xbox live card. I would double check to make sure the code was entered correctly and in the correct location. Click here for instructions on where to enter the code.
If it still does not work then the only thing you can do is contact Microsoft Xbox 360 Support.

Bought several pairs of wired eaphones fo son ash can hear his friends but they cannot hear him have phoned customer service team to solve the problem but not solved

Most likely, it isn't the wired headset that is the problem. It may be the controller. If you haven't already, try testing the headset with another controller.
Since hearing and voice are two separate functions, it may be that the controller is only able to send out sound, but not able to pick it up. Test it out with another controller, and hopefully it will work.
But may I suggest a common issue that is overlooked:
Double check the microphone is not muted. (both in the settings of your Xbox 360 AND the mute option found on the wired headset. It's by the volume.) To check this on your Xbox 360 click on the "home" button (top middle part of the controller with the Xbox logo) go to settings ---> preferences. There you will see the option to mute the microphone.
I sincerely hope Microsoft already suggested all of these things though.
Also, better double check that the Microphone isn't muted in Preferences BEFORE trying another controller because if it is muted in Preferences, (which can only be done when signed into a profile) whichever controller he uses, it will be muted to do preferences being set to any controller/headset used. So please double check that it's not the microphone that is muted to start, and then double check the headset isn't muted (on the actual headset) followed by changing controller if it still isn't working.
Hope this was of some help.

I don't recommend the Mad Catz charging station. Believe it or not, evidence is piling up that the charging station actually increases the internal temperature! I'd recommend performing a fan modification on your Xbox 360. There is a great free guide posted here. 12V Fan Modification Guide

Xbox 360 wired controller glows green for 2 secs then shuts off

Microsoft software is usually very good about finding mods within their systems. Since you have repaired a wire, it might somehow think it's been modded.

Double-check your repair work, if you used a soldering iron, it could have attached to another wire -causing a short (faking a mod). If you just twisted and taped it, you might want to consider a better fix.

My xbox 360 turns on with 4 green lights but i can not see any picture or sound

it sounds as if you have a connection unhooked or loose somewhere. Double check all audio and video cables are secure and in the correct position. If that doesn't work try troubleshooting by trying a different tv or removing all connections from tv and xbox and re-hooking everything back up.

XBOX 360 not connected to wireless connection on Linskys WAG54G2

You should enter the "Wireless MAC Address" of the XBOX and not just the "MAC Address". You can see it on the system info of the XBOX settings.

Xbox 360 live

- double check that your network cable is plugged in correctly on both ends
- verify the cable works by using it to connect a computer or other console to your network
- if using wireless adapter double check that it's plugged in to the rear USB port securely
- consider using the setup blade to reset your console and re-do the setup wizard again
