Hi,

Blue/Red stripe = Permanent +12V (Blaupunkt's Yellow)
Yellow/Blue stripe = Ignition (Blaupunkt's Red)
Purple = Illumination (Blaupunkt's Orange)
Blue/White stripe = Auto Antenna (Blaupunkt's Blue)
Black = Ground (Blaupunkt's Black)
If you have an amplifier, Blaupunkt's switched 12V Remote wire is found in the Line Out harness, the Blue/Yellow stripe wire.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using 'Fixya'.

Left speaker in my 1998 chevy s10 fades out then dies

What have you tried?
Is this an aftermarket sound system?
It could be a fault in the head unit, the cables or the speaker itself.

Assuming that its and aftermarket head unit using original wires this is what I would do:

Remove the head unit to gain access the wiring behind.
Most units have the wiring colour coded and a generally in pairs for +ve and -ve, some even have them label LR (Left Rear) RR (Right Rear) LF (Left Front) RF (Right Front).

The wires are commonly joined to the existing speaker wires by insulated electrical "connectors" that simply pull apart, though only pull on the connector NOT the wire.

Half-way jobs are just the bared wired "twisted" around the joining wire and wrapped in electrical tape.

Ensure all the connectors are still in tact and

Test after removing each pair of speaker wire to which speaker is disconnected.
When you determine which wire is for which, switch the non-working left speaker over with a working one and test to see if the speaker still fades.

1. If it does not fade then your problem is the head unit - I would replace it.
2. If it does then the problem is in the speaker or the wiring.

Remove the speaker and swap with one of your working speakers.

A. If it still fades then the problem is in your wiring and you will need to run new wires.
B. If it does not fade then the problem is simply your speaker.

Hope that helps.

I am getting "cd error" when put my disc into

  • Unfortunately it may be time for a new deck (stacker). You can try pulling the deck head out and removing the power for 10 minutes or so and re-connecting the power and this sometimes will buy you some time. Now a while back Blaupunkt was offering a free replacement for some of these units so it might be worth contacting the Blaupunkt web page for your country (where ever that be) http://www.blaupunkt.de/index.php?id=537&L=1 and see if the are still honoring warranties on them. In the end it may very well be time to replace your unit. This is a very common problem for Blaupunkt.

Regards, Tony

TRYING TO HOOK UP MU POWER BUTTON NEED TO KNOW

Hi there
The front panel connectors are mainly,
  • harddisk activity connector
  • power switch connector
  • reset switch connector
  • power LED connector
  • speakers connector
  • USB connector
Harddisk activity connector
This normally comes red in colour and is labeled as HDD-LED
Power switch connector
This comes green in colour and is labeled as POWER-SW
Reset switch connector
This usually comes grey in colour and is labeled as RST-SW
Power LED connector
This is usually green in colour and is labled as PWR-LED
Speakers connector
This speaker will give different beep sounds during boot to tell the user if there is any errors. It occupies 4 pins, however only 2 is important for the function. Be sure to connect the red coloured cable to the positive polarity and the black to the negative.
