SOURCE: My printing displays wrong ink levels and prints blank pages
If your cartridge is new (or full) and you know that not just from ink levels display, then you did not used the printer for a while (at least a month) and the nozzles of the cartridge are clogged. If u used the cartridghe 4 or 5 moths ago, then the whole cartridge is dryed out, so get out and get yourself a new cartridge.
If it's just a month, then you should put a paper-tissue on a small plate (like a coffee-cup plate), then put some boiling water on it, just 2~3mm of water over the tissue.
Put the cartridge with the nozzles part downside on the tissue, in the hot water.
Let it stay there in the water 30 min.
Put the cartridge in an other clean tissue, than shake it strongy as if you want to force ink to get out trough the nozzles. Then clean gentle the nozzle part of the cartridge on some sheets of tissue.
Install the cartridges it in the printer and run a few cleaning processes from the printers maintenance software.
If the cartridge is new and just installed in the printer, and you have the inklevels but it does not print, then get it out of the printer and back to the store, they should replace it for you. I hope you removed the protective plastic stripe that covers the nozzles before installing the cartridge?...
OK, let ne know please how things evolve.
Hope it helped you, rate the solution.
Almoust forgot: ink levels are displayed by Lexmark inkprinters by estimating the ink consumed trough you printing process, it has no sensors in the cartridge. It's just kind of a counter, you can evan set an empty cartridge to be seen as a full one.

try turning off the printer then reboot the PC, then turn on the printer if this doesn't work try the software may not be installed properly. Try the following:
1 Right-click the My computer icon.
For Windows XP, click Start to access the My computer icon.
2 Click Properties.
3 For Windows 98 or Windows Me, click the Device Manager tab.
For Windows 2000 or Windows XP, select the Hardware tab, and then click
the Device Manager button.
4 Look for the Other Devices category. If there are any Lexmark devices
shown here, highlight them and, then press the Delete key.
Note: The Other Devices category appears only when unknown devices

I recently had the same problem. Your Lexmark printer has automatically placed itself on pause. You must go to the control panel and unpause it from there. Its' simple, just go to control panel and select printer and faxes. Select your Lexmark printer and right click it. Then select resume from the drop down menu. Your printer is now unpaused and ready to print!

If printing is stopping in the middle its not the Problem with the driver
Check the Spooling Properties
Checked Printing Test Page

The problem could be caused by the photoconductor units. Try to swap the affected photoconductor units (like swap the magenta with black and cyan with yellow). If problem still occurs, then the photoconductors need replacement. I suggest you contact Lexmark Technical Support for assistance. Thanks
Testimonial: "Thanks a lot. I just swapped the photoconductor units and now the smudges are black and yellow. I'll order a new unit. Your advice was very helpful."
Does carriage bash against side when power up? if so encoder strip is dirty or incorrectly seated... plastic strip inside printer lines on it 1cm wide, must sit vertical in slot on carriage
Might be somethin stopping print head from moving along rail, check ink carts are installed correctly and fully, check for paper squashed up left and right inside ends of printer. make sure carriage moves left and right
Try power up without cartridges and just black and just colour cart to eleminate cart faults does error change?
