Sounds like a fuse is burnt on the power supply just inside the case. Could be worse but I would start at this point being careful of high voltage in this area.

KR-V6050 I cannot get audio to work on radio, video or any other setting. Also the red standby light stays on all the time, even when the power switch is turned off. Alan

Check the input / output connections are in the correct places. The red standby will stay on when the unit is off showing that it is ready for use. To confirm, turn the power off at the wall. The red light should go out after a few seconds.

My panasonic stereo SA-AK770 is plugged in and is showing ac is in but won't turn on can i save it?

From the description indicators are the power transformer is open, if the standby light is not coming on that would support my concern. But if the standby light is on! chances are it is the audio output ic that is defective. Can it be saved the answer is yes if parts are available, if it turns out the transformer is the issue it will be costly and may not be available.

Hi I just moved plugged in my ps3 the red standby light came on and now nothing it won't even try to turn on what should I do ?

Sorry I had no idea you sent me this message until today. I apologize for the delay. You probably found a solution by now but if you haven't, please try this..

Solution:

  1. With the PS3 in Standby mode (Red light on), press and hold the Start button until you hear a single beep, followed by double beeps.
  2. Connect the controller using USB cable and press the PS button on the controller.
  3. Now, the system restore screen (or whatever they call it) will come up like this

    ps3-system-recovery-screen.jpg

  4. You have several options here for restoring the system, some will unfortunately wipe up all your data, others will make you lose the file naming.
I hope this helps :D

Everything works except for mp3 when i plug it in. doesnt even say aux on screen

Just figured this out !
1) You have to be in 'Standby' mode - press (SRC) until it shows standby.
2). Press and hold 'Menu' button.
3). Using the joystick - move it left or right until it shows 'AUX' 'OFF'.
4). Move joystick up or down until it shows 'AUX ON1'.

It should now work ! - This is on P.22 of the manual - but it actually starts on page 19 where it describes 'Standby' mode.

I have a kenwood stereo integrated amplifier KA 791 and the dual cassete KXw892, niether will come on. when plugged in the standby light only comes on. the reciever and cd player components come on fine?...

That system came with the kt591 tunner in a bundle which consisted of what you call the Kenwood Spectrum 700 rack system, you had to plug the tuner into the wall and then plug the amp into the tunner if you didnt , when you turn the amp on you just get a relay clicking noise and nothing turned on.
