Some web servers may take some time to update your new password (minutes or even an hour worst case). Make sure that Google isn't filling in your old password for you.
It might help telling us what kind of account.
If it's a bank, suggest calling them.

Can't log into my gmail account because someone has changed my password

If you suspect that someone else knows or has changed your password, please reset it so nobody else can sign in to your account. To do so, just enter your username on the password-assistance page.
Account username:
  • For Google Accounts without Gmail: the full email address you used to create your account.
  • For Google Accounts with Gmail: everything before '@gmail.com'
If you think someone has access to the email address associated with your Google Account, please change the password for your email as well. Learn more about keeping your account secure.
If you're unable to reset your Google Account password, and you can't sign in to your account, you can fill out the account recovery form.

  2. Go to the Google Accounts security tab.

Creating a strong password

To keep your account safe, here are a few tips on how to create a strong password:
  • Use a different password for each of your important accounts, like your email and online banking accounts. Choosing the same password for each of your online accounts is like using the same key to lock your home, car and office - if a criminal gains access to one, they can break in to all.
  • Use a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols in your password.
  • Try using a phrase that only you know. For example, "My friends Tom and Jasmine send me a funny email once a day" and then use numbers and letters to recreate it. "MfT&Jsmafe1ad" is a password with lots of variations.

Want to set up a new password for facebook.com and for google

Suddenly you attempt to login to your Facebook profile.
Perhaps you have simply forgotten your password or worst case your Facebook account security has been compromised.

Having had this happen to me, I can help you reset your Facebook password and restore your peace of mind.

You will be back networking with your friends, family and coworkers in no time.
Go to your computer bring up the Facebook login screen like you normally would.

Do not fill in any information.

Click on the link above your Facebook user name and password that states forgot your password. This brings you to a different screen.

Fill in the email address associated or on file with your Facebook account.
If you cannot remember, keep trying different email addresses until you do.

Click enter and a Facebook reset link will be sent to your email so you can recover your password. It usually takes up to 5 minutes.

Check your spam email folder if the email does not appear in your inbox.

Click the link in your email and answer any security questions by Facebook.
This brings back to the Facebook website.

Reset your password with a phrase you will remember mixed in with 1 to 2 numbers or more. Record this in a notebook or on a safe place.

Use a different password than you would for your email.

This decreases your chances of having both websites compromised.

Change Your Google Password
Although its fame roots from its search engine, Google offers other services such as email, groups and alerts.

To access these features, you must create a Google account.
Your Google account can also be used at Blogger.com or to use Google's AdSense advertisement revenue program.

Generally, you must know your Google account password to change it.
The only exception to this is if you have previously changed your password recovery options through Google's "Manage Account" page.

Open the Google accounts homepage in your web browser (see Below).

http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=41078

Enter your user name and password into the appropriate fields on the right-hand side of the page.

Click the "Change password" link under the "Personal Settings." Enter your current password in the first field.

Enter your new password in the "New password" field. Make sure your password appears "Good" or "Strong" according to Google's password strength tool on the right-hand side of the window. You will not be allowed to change your password if the new password is considered weak.

Click the "Save" button to finalize your password change.
If You Do Not Know Your Password

Open the Google accounts homepage in your web browser (see Resources).
http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=41078

Click on the blue "Can't access your account?" link beneath the login fields.
Select the "I forgot my password" option on the next page.
Click on the blue "Reset your password now" link that appears underneath the initial options.
Enter your email address.
If you have a Gmail address, answer the security question to proceed.

If you have an email address through another service provider, open the password retrieval email sent by Google to continue.
Enter a new password into the "Password" field.
Confirm the password by reentering it in the appropriate field.

Auto fill not working

I just fixed it by first disabling googles updater (editing the "hosts" file - found out how using Google!). Then I uninstalled Google Toolbar and reinstalled the previous version of Google Toolbar. Now I have my AutoFill back! If you don't have a previous version before the update, you should be able to find a download of a previous one online somewhere.
