I have a Whirlpool ADP 7552 dishwasher. The cycle appears to have finished although not completely drained and is flashing FR fault code. What is this and how do I fix it.

    My Whirlpool ADP 7552 dishwasher has fault code FR displayed and the depart button is flashing but will not run when pressed. Also the program is stuck on one program only and the machine has not completely drained. I have tried disconnecting the power completely and reconnecting but the problem persists. Any ideas?

Does your drain hose go directly to a sink? The water in the sink may be backing up to your dishwasher which may be the source of your problem.

Whirlpool dihwasher adp 4552. Water comes into dishwasher, appears to start cycle then water is drained out again and light flashes to show a problem!

This is a typical anti flood activation due to the anti flood device (polystireen float and micro switch) at the base of the washer detecting a water leak / spill. This device puts the washer in pump out mode. Check to see if water at the base is causing the polystireene float to activate the switch. Dry the water and rectify the fault (normally a leaky pipe or pipe clamp) and this should solve the problem.

Dishwasher adp 4601 when switched on the pump activates.and after 2 mins start lamp bliks and pump goes off

The number of flashes indicates the fault. Reset machine by holding down the start button for 3 secs, then start a new cycle. If fault reoccurs, the number of flashes indicates fault eg 3 flashes, stop, 3 flashes stop, indicates F3 fault.
Faults listed below- advice on repair depends on which fault your machine is indicating, but may give you an idea of what to look for
1flash=NTC (temperature sensor) break- NTC outside normal range.
2flash=water leakage-float switch in base activated.
3flash=heating fault(check element.NTC,control board).
4flash=drain error-blockage in pump or drain system,or faulty water indicator switch.
6flash=water inlet fault-check inlet valve, check inlet hose not kinked
7flash=flow meter failure (flow meter measures water intake volume-large plastic weir located on left hand side of machine-reomve side panel to access)
These a most common faults, but further advice on repair requires counting flashes when fault occurs.
