Hi - I am looking to setup a printer 105SL on my AS400 - could you advise the details you used to configure on the AS400, as I cannot seem to get mine to work at all.

Do you have the full part numbers on the new and old printers? If the configuration is exactly the same then maybe your old printer is a 300dpi model and the new one is 200dpi.

I fixed my issue and I now have my Bar Code?s printing via my AS400. I am now using just a straight outq as well. I converted my code to use the ?@? instead of ?^? as the control character, and I also had to tweak the settings in the remote outq, but here is my definition just in case you need to use it. Can we make 300 dpi Zebra 105 SL printer to print on label expecting 203 DPI, Any configuration setting?

Krishan, sorry there are no settings that will allow you to do this on the 105SL. If the printer code expecting a 203 DPI printhead and you have a 300 DPI Printer then your label will print out much smaller then normal.

If you are printing labels with a label printing package (such as Seagull Bartender for Windows) then all you need to do is to install the proper printer driver. If you have your printer attached to a system that is sending "straight" ZPL (Zebra Printing Language Code) then your out of luck.

Hope this helps

I have a Zebra 105 SL, I have the ribbon installed but the printer tells me that the ribbon is out. I've tried changing the ribbon and labels out but as soon as I power it back up and try printing again...

Calibrate the printer from the setup menu.

You'll (1) Load the label backing with the ribbon (2) remove the ribbon - just shove it to the right, out of the way of the ribbon sensor (3) reload the label and ribbon.

The printer will run a number of labels out.

Unable to print Zebra labels on a Zebra 105 SL printer. Sending the label from an I-Series computer through the EntendNet 100x print server to the Zebra printer. Does ExtendNet 100x support Zebra ZPL2...

A print server should just be a 'through-put' device, and the codes should go fine. ZPL-ZPL2 codes are subequently sent as comms to the printer port. Are you using seria; or parallel input to printer?
Yo can capture the codes to a file, and review if they are correct. The file would have to be viewed in a hex editor.(write to a file through the driver)
I routinely use different mfg. of print servers for thispurpose if the printer does not have an internal ethernet port. The only problem I have run into is a problem in network where a slow download is enountered.

Zebra TLP 2844-Z appears to print from the iSeries/AS400 but nothing prints no error message Set up same as other Zebra printers that are working printing bar codes

check the connection configuration (if is com port, check speed, flow control and others)
Try to install locally with segull drivers ( if you need, reset to factory defult. print a test label from the driver. if is comunicate, is not printer problem, is connection problem with your software.

We have one zebra printer, Model 105-SL , its not

You can try to factory default by turning the printer off, hold down the pause and the feed buttons. While holding pause and feed down turn on the printer and count to 5 and then release the 2 buttons and the printer will return to factory setting. Typicaly when all the lights stay lit its do to the logic board being bad but sometimes you can get lucky with the default.

I have a Zebra 105-SL and it seems not to recognize the distance between stickers since it prints a couple and then jumps a couple more.

Sounds like the white platen roller under the printhead needs to be cleaned or the printer needs to be calibrated.

Your problem is a computer configuration issue, not a printer problem.

Without knowing any details of your system configuration, it is impossible to offer and further advice.

Zebra 105 SE Printing Blank Labels

You need the correct driver for the 105Se. The 300 dpi SL driver is not compatible.

Unfortunately, Zebra does not make it's older drivers available online. You will need to locacte someone with the correct driver for whichever version of Windows you are using.
