Question about Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 v2.0
Microsoft wireless notebook laser mouse 6000 has suddenly stopped working. Even the lights are not burning. Have checked and even replaced the batteries. I have been having problems with some of my drivers. Is it possible, I've lost the driver? If so, from where can I download the driver? If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.
I have a miscrosoft wireless laser mouse 6000, and it also stopped working on my laptop. I changed the battery, still no workie. I tested the battery in another device, and it was good. I moved the mouse to another computer, and it did not work. The light on the usb connector was lit. [No changes at all to my laptop.]. It seemed like there was no power to the mouse, and I looked at the contacts inside the mouse. The contact just inside the mouse's opening for the battery appeared to be bent down (away from the contact on the battery tray). So, I pulled it up a little so it would connect when the battery drawer closed, and (after tweaking it a couple of times), it finally worked!

Given that the unit is not displaying lights and you have replaced its power, I would suggest that it has a fault in itself and you should take it back for replacement or repair if in warranty. The drivers would not cause the lights to fail to turn on.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Well, I had the same problem, too, and I just turned my PC off, waited a few seconds and turned it on again. This means I really turned it off completely; normal restarting didn't work. Maybe that helps you too.
