Question about Brother MFC-5440CN All-In-One InkJet Printer
Display read No Cyan
Replaced with new Cyan
Display reads "No cartridge. Open scanner cover then reinstall ink cartridge." Reinstalled. Then asks question "Reinstall cartridge 1. Yes 2 No." Press 1 and it repeats the No cartridge message.
Made sure that yellowc ap off new cartridge and that toner release node works. Have reinstalled several times.
Turned off printer. Reinstalled. No difference.
Turned off computer. Reinstalled. No difference.
Quit all jobs. Began afresh. No difference.
Look at the ink cartridge and and first see if the ink covers the top of the cartridge. there is a little part of the ink cartridge the best way to explain it, is there is a tab,. that tab goes into a sensor. if the tab has ink on it, then you mostly like have a problem with the sensor itself. but if there is no ink, the printer is correct. i have had several people bring printers with those type of problems, and when they bring the cartridge i look at it, and they are practically empty.
