BATTERY LEAK

I FORGOT TO REMOVE THE BATTERY ON MY RIKOH KR 10 SUPER. IT LEAKED. I HAD IT CLEAN AND HAS A NEW BATTERY NOW BUT IT STILL ISN'T WORKING. DOES THAT MEAN I CAN NEVER USE IT? HELP!

it is better to send the unit out for repair. it seems that the liquid has go through the terminals.
better not to use the unit to avoid any electrical short circuit to the main board of the camera.
the unit needs to be clean completely and check with some special tools.
