Grill Fell out

The grill fell out on my RV36 when I retracted the vent. It is in the bottom of the enclosure. It looks as if I will have to pull the moveable vent out the top so that I can get the grill out of the bottom of the vent enclosure. Has anyone done this? How do I remove the moveable vent assembly?

I would appreciate any replies.

Thanks,
John Roehm

Unfortunately i had found myself in this same situation. i have no idea how the grill came out when it was closed, but it was stuck in the fan enclosure underneath the counter. Unlike the poster above i did not have access to the side screws to take the unit apart. instead i was able to remove the front panel, and then unscrew the motor arm from the protective case, and unscrew the case from the unit. This created enough wiggle room that i could raise the right side of the vent cover up and extract the left side out the bottom opening. then it was just a matter of reconnecting the arm to the cover and the cover to the unit.

Good Luck,

I had this problem too on my RV36. How it dropped in there I have no idea but it is rather simple to get it out of there. You have to attack it from down below and remove all of the covers one by one until you get to it. Turn off the power first and begin removing the outside one. Just keep at it and eventually you wll get to it. If its like mine, it sat right at the bottom of the inner most box.

Good luck.

Our grills igntion cord fell off with a box looking thing how do we get it back on

I do not know the brand or model of your grill. I am guessing that the box is the battery holder/spark generator that should attach to the front panel of the grill. If may attach with screws, however, if there is a threaded portion that would fit through a hole in the front panel, it may mean that the part that screws onto the threaded part is missing. This part would attach the box to the control panel.

Our Ducane older model grill Model #2002SHNE fell over in the wind. All insides fell out. Do not know how to reassemble. Looking for user's manual or someone who could help.

I have searched all my reliable sources, but can not find the Owners Manual for that model Ducane. Gas Grill. The problem is it's just to old. However, Weber bought Ducane in 2000. Possibly, they may still have copies of the Owner's Manual. Call Customer Service 1-800-382-2637.

One of the tubes will not light up? It fell over in the wind. I cleaned up the grill and now that tube will not light. The ignightor is sparking but not flow of gas? what to do?

Remove the offending burner, check it for crimps or debris inside that was dislodged when it fell over. Also check the venturi valve on the open end of the burner for damage or blockage. While the burner is out, look at the burner orifice to make sue it's still in place and not clogged. If all of the aforementioned checks out Ok, the burner manifold valve may have gotten damaged beyond repair and will need to be replaced.

Hope this helps you to troubleshoot and solve the problem.

Kitchen Aid (KA) Over stove Micro - vent grill plastic brackets

My grill has also fallen off twice. It usually results in the tabs breaking off. My solution has been to add tiny (1/2" x 1") shims in the slots where the tabs have broken. Look carefully. There are two tiny channels. I wedged the wood in and then reattached the grill using sheet metal screws in the same screw holes. It won't come down again. In three years since doing the kitchen with all KA appliances we have replaced the grill once. We had the stove removed and replaced by the appliance company at no charge after 4 months. We had our ice maker replaced out of warranty. I would never recommend KA appliances to anyone. The quality is absolutely terrible.

Front vent fell off

This should be a very easy fix. I assume you are talking about the plastic vent grill on the top of the oven above the door. There should only be a couple of screws holding it in from the top. The grill then should tilt out from the top first then from the bottom to remove. Since you said that it had fallen off, it sounds like the tabs where the screw holes are have broken off. This is a common problem. You can buy the part by ordering from the manufacturer, or from most repair websites. All you need is the model number from the microwave. Good luck.
