My fan was working great. Then it turned off that

My fan was working great. I turned it off that night. In the morning I turned it on, it made a grinding sound and didn't work. Sounded like it was trying too, but still wont turn the blade or move side to side. What should I do?? I cant afford a new one that is why I got it from a yardsale.

The fan on the MTI Autofry is not working. Everything else working ok. Safe to use until I can get someone in to look at it?

Should get it looked at, the fan can cause other parts to over heat and cause you more problems than just the fan not working. Try to get it to spin by using a pencil (not your fingers) to turn the blades. These fans often stick from grease build up or when going bad from age. Many have a plug connector on the fan and 4 screws holding the frame in place, fairly easy to replace.

Make sure that the circuit breaker didn't trip, if it's a new device, it could be that just too many things are on the same circuit.
