Question about Sony XL-2100U Projector Lamp for KF-42WE610, KF-50WE610, KF-60WE610, KDF-60XBR950, KDF-70XBR95
This is a Sony KF-42WE610 projection TV. The TV seems to have trouble turning off and turning on. Any suggestion?
Are you sure there is really a problem? Remember these sets have globes in them and need to have a very good cooling system.
Therefore Sony has designed it to keep the fans on even after you have switched the set of with the remote. If you listen closely you should be able to hear the fans running.
For this reason if you try and switch the set on directly after switching it off you will find this delay.
If you are rather finding the set being a slow starter from cold - I am afraid your globe has reached the end of it`s life. Do not replace it just yet. When it is completely dead - blow-out - you can change it. These globes are very expensive and you need to get every ounce of life out of it.
Hope this Helps!
