Question about Frigidaire GLEB30T8A Electric Double Oven

4 Answers

We have a Frigidaire Model CPEB30T8AC2. Problem is that both lower elements in both ovens do not work however the Broil does work when switched on. All controls are operating properly. Issue started with lower oven. After self-cleaning the upper oven now it has the same problem. Did replace the lower element it did not help. Self clean in lower oven does turn on and will run through its cycle but will not heat up.

ERC? Could you please refer to the actual part reference number in the link that you provided to be clear.

Not certain if you are referring to the relay board or relay board with transmitter or both?? or perhaps something else?? Could you please provide the exact part as listed in the frigidaire factory parts catalog for my model CPEB30T8AC2.

    Thank you

I have contacted my parts department at sears and they do not have this number for our model#CPEB30T8AC2. Also on the link you sent for my model does not even show this part number listed in any of the diagrams??

    Are you referring to:

    80# 318022001 Relay Board ?
    or
    81#318022002RelayBoard,w/transformer?

We need to be clear on what is going to fix this problem please?

I replaced the relay board for the top oven (the one with thetransformer) and it works properly now. My issue was only for the topoven so you probably have to replace both relay boards since both ovenshave only the top element working.
318022002 is the part number for the relay board with transformer
318022001 is the part number for the relay board without transformer
Yes the one without the transformer is more expensive for some reason.

The boards are on the top of the oven, I was able to pull out theoven about 75% of the way out of the cabinet and easily get to theboards. Just unplugged the connections and plugged them into the newboard.

To get the oven out there are two small screws that go intobrackets inside the top oven door. Highly recommend taking the doorsoff the oven to pull it out, much easier to work with.

NOTE: On my old board I noticed one solder joint that was burnedout and I since I already had the new board I just replaced but youmight want to check that first and see if just a solder fix gets youworking again before you spend $$ on a new board.

or try this

Most likely the thermal fuse is out for the top oven, your will have toremove the unit from the wall in order to test and replace parts. Thethermal fuse part # is AP2126993. If you need to see a parts breakdowngo to searspartsdirect website

The ERC must be at fault here. The ERC controls all the oven features on an electric range. This is a fairly simple repair job that any do-it-yourselfer can accomplish.
You can order a replacement at searspartsdirect.com. Pcappliancerepair.com also carries the part for just a few cents cheaper. I recommend the sears website for the helpful exploded view illustrations.

Sounds as if perhaps there has been a thermal overload(switch) tha hasgone bad, refer to part number 119 on bothe the lower and upper ovenfor refernce , you should have continuity trough the switches.

Frigidaire oven fefl68 broil element comes on on broil only will not come on on bake or clean

Hello - - If you are referring to the bake element, but the broil element works then you would need to just replace the bake element. If both your bake and broil element does not work, then there might be a problem with the wiring communication. However, if the oven does not bake and/or broil but the cook top works; contact a professional to diagnose the EOC (electronic oven control).

We have a Frigidaire CPE30S8CC2 with the bottom bake element not working. We tried to replace it with no luck. The old element does not look burnt out at all. The timer, clock and broil all work just fine. The bake button works and you can set the temp. it just doesn't actually heat up at all. There are no knobs on the controls for any cook top. it is all on a circuit board for overn only. help?

Frigidaire wall over model number CGEB30S8AB1 is not heating. It is just the bottom bake element. I tried to replace the element but it is still not working. I can hear the relay clicking but it will...

I had this problem a year ago (both elements worked in top oven but only broil element worked in the lower of the dual ovens). I swapped elements around but the problem was still the bottom element bottom oven.

So I called the repairman. He replaced the relay board (Part #AP2127301) for the lower oven, and it worked again. Yippee.

But now a year later, I have the exact same problem. Lower element on lower oven is not working (Frigidaire you have got to be kidding)!

However this time I decided to take a look at the relay board myself, to at least save the expense of the repairman. I looked closely at the board and thought I saw a cold solder joint on relay K4. But just to be safe I touched up all the connections on all the relays with flux and a soldering iron.

Works perfectly again !!

Please if you try this, disconnect the power first. In fact if I had to tell you that, then just call somebody.

I have a frigidaire oven model # PLEB30S8CCB won't get above 290

The coils should glow red when working. If the lower (bake) element does not glow it may be burnt out. Some ovens cycle the bake and broil elements during preheat and that mey be why you are getting some heat.

My frigidaire oven won't heat. The burners work

You have two elements turn on the broil and see if the top element comes on if it does replace the bottom element.

Oven is not heating to correct tempurature

its not the thermostat most of the time you can look at the element and see if its bad un less a wire is burned off behind or has come off behind the wall of the oven where the element is you can turn off the breaker to the oven off remove the two screws pull the element foward remove one of the wires to the element and check it with an ohm meter to make sure its bad and some ovens have a vari broil feature but most times they just run full bozo consult your owners manuel to see about yours if you dont have a manuel can get one here http://www.frigidaire.com/support/manuals.asp
