If it is a wii dance pad the hook ups are on the top. They are round with one flat side. If you have a dance pad that is supposed to go to the wii or xbox you are going to have to conact them and get an adapter. There should be a 1-800 number on the box.

You should get a headshell first of all. Into the headshell you install the cartridge. I would get a Technics headshell just because it is of the same brand, and I use a SHURE M35X cartridge which is mean for dance or electro music.
