Question about Magellan RoadMate 1400 Car GPS Receiver
I have a second hand 1400 that likes to fail booting once in a while, this time I thought I would jot it down so others would know and maybe I can find if I forget. Using power just got boot screen to come up then die out, USB same thing. I think my problem is not enough power left in battery to do anything with. 3 second and 15 second resets didn't work, so I set gps down with a pen lodged in the reset hole so it was always resetting, left it like that for well over 15 seconds and then after a while it worked fine. I did this because it seemed with reset button depressed power was cut off and maybe since I had the charger plugged in I was boosting the batteries enough to have a successful boot. It's flipping off and trying to reboot was probably a problem with not enough power in battery.
