Question about Gateway 700 XL PC Desktop
From what I have seen online, my problem may be common. Before I give you the background, I give you what I see when I turn on my computer.
PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
PXE-M0F: Exiting Intel PXE ROM.
Boot Failure: System Halted
I have checked around online, and like I said before, this problem seemed common. I tried most of the solutions I saw online, and none of them worked. I was playing an old game, Command and Conquer red alert in windows 95 mode, and it seemed like my computer just got over worked and it froze up. When I turned it on I got what you see above. Now I don't know a lot about computers, but I got onto BIOS and have seen no network boots to deal with. I have never had any problems with this computer before and am not sure what to do. Thanks a lot for any help, obviously keeping it as easy to understand would be better.
If you know how to reset your rom chip you can get your computer running again your computer is set to boot from a remote main frame and its looking for those files which boot system with mainframes harddrive not yours
theres one other way to correct this problem go inside bios from bootup
and reset settings
