Question about Car Audio & Video

1 Answer

My car is a 2001 Hyundai Grandeur, XG30 It has an 8 cd stacker in the boot which has started to miss some discs, jumping from 3 to 6 etc. The changer can be heard flicking through the cd's. It started when I put a cheap lens cleaner disc through it. Anything that I can fix myself?

It really confirms what I thought. I'd already spoken by phone to an CD/electronics repair expert in Palmerston North. He is willing to have a look at it. Thanks for your help.

This is a faulty shuttle mechanism or arm position sensor that can only be repaired by the dealer or electronics repairman.

You may be better (and cheaper) off purchasing an aftermarket FM modulated changer that will play through your radio.

Thanks for using FixYa!!

Any brand of 5W30 oil is fine. Just buy any decent oil (Castrol, Penzoil, etc.), but not any one labelled "Synthetic".

WHICH GLOBES (BULBS)? I presume Brake Lights? The circuit is a DIRECT CONNECTION at the brake SWITCH (brake pedal arm). If all your fuses are good, then I'd begin to suspect the brake lamp switch is defective.
